A copy of Truth’s SY2024-2025 Student and Family Handbook can be found here.

A copy of Truth’s Discipline Policy can be found here.

Truth’s Response-to-Behaviors matrix is here.

Among other things, the handbook includes information about arrival, dismissal, attendance, our dress code, our behavior and discipline policies, how parents can report grievances or complaints, and a notification of rights under FERPA. If you have any questions about the handbook or the policies it outlines, please email us at info@truthpcs.org.

Reporting Absences

If your student is going to miss a class period or a full day, please let us know by emailing excusenotes@truthpcs.org. This allows us to then make sure your student’s teachers are aware, and also for us to excuse the absence when appropriate.

Sojourner Truth’s 2024-2025 School Health Profile can be downloaded here.

Truth’s Home and Hospital Instruction policy (including a link to apply for HHI) is here.

The Sojourner Truth School

The Sojourner Truth Public Charter School is Washington, DC’s first public Montessori middle and high school. Truth is accessible via open enrollment for 6th through 12th graders at www.MySchoolDC.org. We strive to be an innovative and exciting learning space that embodies our two design principles: (1) Students need to be prepared for life and not just school, and (2) Every student’s identity, voice, perspective, and choice matter.
